Luke 2:46

For being lost during three days little Jesus must have just enjoyed talking and sharing with people around. The important aspect is the place in which He was found.. the temple. He was able to maintain a conversation with law doctorates, that talks very much of His wisdom. There was no selfishness in Him, being so young and be able to share what He knew in that moment was so humble for himself. I can only imagine Him having so much joy at the temple with all the people and all the grown ups falling in love with this little kid. 

This reminds me of some kids I know in our Potter’s Field Kids Club in Antigua. Two of them walk for about 1 hour to reach our facilities every wednesday and then take another hour to get back home. Kids really show us the “big ones” how real hunger and passion looks like. They don’t care about rain, sun, distance, tiredness, etc. They just love God in a very genuine way. It is to admire and seek to have a heart of a kid. That is why we need to be kids to enter our God’s kingdom. A kid doesn’t question, he only believes, loves, and does. They are not selfish, they share. They smile, and with that smile fill our hearts with so much joy. I need to have a kid heart again, one that never makes it so complicated. It is simple believe because God is my creator and He loves me.

Application:

Have a real talk with a kid in Kids Club.

What another demonstration of love to our neighbors or to people than to be emphatic with their lives and share with them the gospel? Knowing that God called me to be a disciple and to share the gospel to people has opened my eyes. His calling qualifies me, even though I feel like I am not ready or don’t have enough love for others, I have stopped trying and just letting Him work in me and through me.  Being honest, it is hard for me to be open to all people I face or get to know, but it is even harder when it is people that I know or are my friends. I believe this happens because of my lack of faith in Him. Now that I am in a real relationship with Him, my love and passion has been growing. My heart opens more and more every new time we get to do outreaches or share the gospel.  I can’t love people with my heart, but I can love them with His love. In my strength is hard to lay down and try to talk to everyone, but His faithfulness and passion for them is what makes me move. N

Hebrews 11:1

It seems that for all our lives and during every phase, we humans actually keep on wishing, wanting, and expecting  for something to happen or to come up to. Most of us will be influenced by the circumstances in our lives and the words of other people. It seems that we are constantly under pressure and bombarded with things that we don’t  even expect; like if we would become the person that the circumstances are dictating or what other people  are saying. Our expectations of life and the desires or hopes of our heart are biased to the wrong way.  Hebrews helps us define what faith really is, if we pay close attention. It is faith that is what holds all of these points, letting  us know what really is going wrong is our faith’s direction. We have the steering wheel of our own faith, it is us who  decide where we want it to be anchored or to whom or what we rely it on.  During my life I have been always a dreamer, having life goals, and constantly looking towards the

Luke 21:19

While I was thinking of standing still, a soldier was illustrated in my mind. When a superior calls a soldier to stand still, the soldier must leave whatever he is doing and come up firming his body. Then he has an attitude of listener, because the superior surely has something important to say. After the superior finishes his command, the soldier must wait until he has permitted to “relax”.  We can take certain points out of this illustration. The soldier has attitudes of obedience, service, and discipline. Jesus is our chief in command and we are his soldiers, we have to fight for souls. As any soldier, we need to look sharp and in shape. Otherwise we are going to die. We shall seek Jesus daily to know him more and delight ourselves in Him; so that our faces can reflect Him. Our ears need to be sensible to His voice, in a battle of so much noise and action, confusing a command from a different source will have terrible consequences. Our most important weapon is His word, sharper
