Philippians 3:12-13

Life is a process and walking with Jesus too. He is always working something in us and through us. He has processes to prepare us for what comes next and after. But we need to recognize our condition, only God is perfect. Sometimes we only think of it as a checklist of task to be done and when is attained we feel victory and take a break. God wants to takes us from glory to glory, He is not going to stop. 

He reached out to us for a purpose, we have work to do. In Him we can find purpose and meaning, most of the time we won’t know what it is in the first time; but, we need to continue walking in faith. Behaving and working to reach what He wants. Being honest with ourselves is necessary, there shouldn’t be any pride in our life. Even though God has used us and blessed us means that we have already passed the goal. The goal is in heaven. And this is what I didn’t understand, most of the times I would weary myself working for things here in Earth, and didn’t think in what is eternal. My thoughts have been changing and my heart for my dreams and wills have fallen into Jesus hands. I don’t nothing but Jesus and what He wants, longing for things in Earth will just make me be desperate and disappointed several times. I want peace in every action, dream, and desire and this can only come if I lay them down to Jesus and do His will. 

Few months ago I felt I wasn’t worthy for God and my sin was condemning me. Turns out to be, that He remained faithful with my life. He didn’t forget, He didn’t lie, He still had a plan for my life. Although I was born again in Jesus, my past comes over to my mind in different times and occasions. There are thoughts as: “you are not going to be able to do it”, “you are not good enough”, “you’ll burn out”, etc. When all this things cross my mind, I just focus on who God is. I don’t live for my glory, but for His. He reminds me of all that He had done in my life and that He won’t let me down. 

Application:

Write a phrase “I forget about this:… and now strive for:…”

What another demonstration of love to our neighbors or to people than to be emphatic with their lives and share with them the gospel? Knowing that God called me to be a disciple and to share the gospel to people has opened my eyes. His calling qualifies me, even though I feel like I am not ready or don’t have enough love for others, I have stopped trying and just letting Him work in me and through me.  Being honest, it is hard for me to be open to all people I face or get to know, but it is even harder when it is people that I know or are my friends. I believe this happens because of my lack of faith in Him. Now that I am in a real relationship with Him, my love and passion has been growing. My heart opens more and more every new time we get to do outreaches or share the gospel.  I can’t love people with my heart, but I can love them with His love. In my strength is hard to lay down and try to talk to everyone, but His faithfulness and passion for them is what makes me move. N

Hebrews 11:1

It seems that for all our lives and during every phase, we humans actually keep on wishing, wanting, and expecting  for something to happen or to come up to. Most of us will be influenced by the circumstances in our lives and the words of other people. It seems that we are constantly under pressure and bombarded with things that we don’t  even expect; like if we would become the person that the circumstances are dictating or what other people  are saying. Our expectations of life and the desires or hopes of our heart are biased to the wrong way.  Hebrews helps us define what faith really is, if we pay close attention. It is faith that is what holds all of these points, letting  us know what really is going wrong is our faith’s direction. We have the steering wheel of our own faith, it is us who  decide where we want it to be anchored or to whom or what we rely it on.  During my life I have been always a dreamer, having life goals, and constantly looking towards the

Luke 21:19

While I was thinking of standing still, a soldier was illustrated in my mind. When a superior calls a soldier to stand still, the soldier must leave whatever he is doing and come up firming his body. Then he has an attitude of listener, because the superior surely has something important to say. After the superior finishes his command, the soldier must wait until he has permitted to “relax”.  We can take certain points out of this illustration. The soldier has attitudes of obedience, service, and discipline. Jesus is our chief in command and we are his soldiers, we have to fight for souls. As any soldier, we need to look sharp and in shape. Otherwise we are going to die. We shall seek Jesus daily to know him more and delight ourselves in Him; so that our faces can reflect Him. Our ears need to be sensible to His voice, in a battle of so much noise and action, confusing a command from a different source will have terrible consequences. Our most important weapon is His word, sharper
